Amir is  a seasoned entrepreneur and executive who has lead innovation in search, e-commerce, neurotechnology and the automotive sector.
Amir is currently the CEO and Co-founder of Twiggle, a company pioneering the use of artificial intelligence in online retail. Amir founded Twiggle in 2014 with CTO and Co-founder Dr. Adi Avidor to bring the power of human understanding to e-commerce search. Today, they’ve assembled a world-class team of engineers and data scientists to reimagine what’s possible in online shopping.
Some of the world”s largest retailers and software companies now use Twiggle to connect people to the products they are looking to buy – faster and better. Twiggle’s investors include Alibaba, Naspers, Yahoo! Japan, SOMV, MizMaa, Sir Ronald Cohen, and Zohar Gilon. Dr. Udi Manber, former Head of Search at Google, Amazon, and Yahoo, is a member of Twiggle”s Board of Directors.
Prior to Twiggle, Amir spent 4 years working on human machine interfaces for autonomous vehicles at General Motors, in which time he led numerous projects and authored more than 15 patents in the space. Earlier on, Amir was one of the founding members of Google”s operations in the Emerging Marketing and in Israel. He also co-founded and serves on the leadership team of Israel Brain Technologies, an organization founded under the auspices of former Israeli President Shimon Peres. Amir was also the managing director and Vice President of, which he grew to be the #3 online grocery website in the UK. Amir currently serves on the Advisory Board of Allegro.Ai, a company pioneering the use of deep learning for the automotive sector (backed by Samsung, Boeing, and VCs). He was previously also on the Advisory Board of, a brain training platform (acquired by Hachette Livre in 2017). He is also on the Leadership team and BOD of Amir holds a PhD in Rationality and Interactive Decision Making from Hebrew University and Princeton University. He is the author of more than 25 patents and 15 academic publications.
